Fundraising for HELP Foundation - United Way
United Way: HELP Foundation partners with United Way, and donations can be made through payroll deductions. United Way donor choice code is 025122 and EIN is 223309963.
HELP Foundation is registered with the Tri-State United Way (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut). All big corporations (AT&T, Lucent, Merck, Exxon, Bell Atlantic, Merrill Lynch, etc.) will have a campaign requesting the employees to donate to United Way through the payroll deduction plan. The campaign usually takes place from September through December of every year.
EIN or Donor Choice Code allows a donor to specify to which charitable organization the donation should go. The mechanics of signing up varies from company to company, and is usually explained to the employees by United Way canvassers.

Please make sure you check to get the acknowledgement. This is the only way you can ensure your donations are going to the organization you want.
If you specify that you need an acknowledgment, we acknowledge the receipt of your donations. If you do not specify, United Way will not send the donor address to the Foundation and the Foundation will not be able to acknowledge the receipt of your donation.
Donors from Other States: Even though the Foundation is registered with United Way of Tri-State (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut), you can still specify the EIN number, name and address of HELP Foundation as your donor choice, when you sign up for pay roll deduction plan. The United Way of other states will contact HELP foundation and direct the donations.
